The Newcastle Photography Competition is back for 2025
This is your chance to share what you love most about our city – the places, people, and the moments that truly capture the essence of Newcastle.
Whether it’s a windswept beach, a quiet street scene, a vibrant local event, or something uniquely Novocastrian, I want to see Newcastle through your eyes.
Submission key dates:
Open: Thursday 18 September 2025
Close: Friday 17 October 2025
Who can enter:
This competition is open to residents of the Newcastle electorate. Professional photographs are not permitted.
Prizes:
The photograph that wins the competition will be showcased on my annual Christmas card, which will be sent to every household in Newcastle, our amazing community groups, my colleagues in the Federal Parliament, including the Prime Minister, as well as the Governor-General and other dignitaries.
Not only that, but the winner will also receive a $150 voucher and the three runners up $50 each to spend at MacLean’s Booksellers in Hamilton, Abicus in Cooks Hill, Wildflower Espresso in Wallsend or The Tea Collective in Mayfield.
